Yesterday I decided I needed to cut down on the amount of coffee I'd been drinking recently, unfortunately that translated into cutting down on drinking much of anything at all. My body was not happy when I work up this morning!
I've spent the day pouring liquids down my throat and my body is definitely happier for it.
A gallon a day minimum

D'you have the orthostatic intolerance?

Re: A gallon a day minimum
Date: 2023-02-08 04:52 pm (UTC)I struggle to manage more than 1.4 litres of fluid -
if I drink the recommended 8 glasses,
I have to get out of bed to go to the toilet so often that it exhausts me getting up all the time.

On the other hand, I haven't passed out in a couple years, which is a big plus, because my previous falls yielded broken stuff.
I have "neurogenic bladder" -- I don't even sense fullness until there's 2+ liters on board, so I empty on schedule with a catheter. Thanks to menopause I don't sleep throughout the night anyway, and I'm very fortunate that I can wall-walk from bed to bathroom and back.
Re: A gallon a day minimum
Date: 2023-02-08 04:40 am (UTC)UK guidance is 1.2-1.5 litres a day, I'm probably drinking well over 2l as a rule, but I'm out of soft drinks at the moment, so I was already drinking less than normal and really should have substituted something for the coffee when I decided to avoid it.

Date: 2023-02-08 05:00 pm (UTC)I can't explain why, but somehow my UK stereotype includes no soft drinks at all -- just tea tea tea, beer, and mead.
