davidgillon Good interview in the Guardian with Judy Singer on how she created the term neurodiversity. Slightly stunned that it was a consciously political creation from the word go - she was explicitly referencing the American Civil Rights movement with the 'diversity', and that she did it in her _undergraduate_ thesis. And it's a very Social Model of Disability construction.
