Well, crap!

Went to go over into town earlier. Found a space to park, but it was a  tight space that required parallel parking.

I did several back and forths, decided it was doable but I wasn't going to manage it easily and decided to pull out and go look for somewhere else.

And promptly reversed into the car behind me.

I'm genuinely not certain what I did - anxiety kicked in, hard, but I definitely did it.

I initially couldn't find any damage on either car, but then found a crack in his rear bumper :(  So I borrowed a pen off someone and left him a note, but decided to hang around until he reappeared, which he did within about half an hour. He was dismayed, but pretty decent about it - "I just bought it last week, £22k, secondhand." {Wince}

We've swapped insurance details and I'll ring my insurer in the morning.
