If by "interest" you mean "depress the hell out of someone at the wrong end of a six-year journey that's only going to get longer as the Tories savage the NHS"... :( still, thanks for posting.

ed. But I was interested to see that Joanne had followed a pattern almost identical to my own; I didn't get the same degree of threatening behaviour that she did, but it did become clear to me ten years ago that society just wasn't ready yet. If it is now, that's cause for hope.

Yeah, interest wasn't the ideal word choice, and depress might well have been my second option, but I'm always reluctant to push my own interpretation for a minority I don't belong to. OTOH'treated as second class citizens' gets the direction of the piece across pretty clearly.
