 The tree at the bottom of my garden just opened up its leaf buds* today, this makes me happy.  There are also a handful of rather premature ** irises in bloom.

* as it's a 60-70 foot lime, that's a lot of leaves.
** premature as there's about 50 more haven't even started their flower spike yet.

Oh, lovely lime tree! Our small patch of irises haven't produced flower spikes yet.

Lime, or linden?

That is a couple of weeks early for the irises - even here they aren't quite out.

Lime for linden is a manglement, though as they don't look alike (apart from being trees), it's purely a linguistic manglement. Bit like calling a chimney a chimberly.

Linden-blossom tea is good.
