Just had my pre-op assessment.
The good news is: I'm fit for surgery.
And the bad news is: I'm fit for surgery.
Mixed feelings on this one!
(Still no actual surgery date)

Ankylosing spondylitis is something that my GP brought up as a possibility when I first started having spinal issues 25 years ago, and it was promptly ruled out. Yet she keeps bringing it up and now she's apparently mentioned it in a report for the surgeons. It's been a minor annoyance up until now, but if she's passing incorrect info to people planning to operate on me then I really think I need to fix it. something else to sort out.

Date: 2015-03-06 05:29 pm (UTC)a) Same GP for 25 years!
b) Maybe she missed the A.S. diagnosis on another patient, and she's unconsciously trying to top up the jar?
Surgery! Yipes! Laparoscopic, she asks hopefully.
