Wah!! Oh, Whoops.

That moment when an ambulance siren goes off just behind you, and directed at you.
I'd popped into town earlier to pick up a prescription, and grabbed the first parking spot on the street in my normal place, which is a one way street with the right side of the road converted to parking and no footpath on that side, which means that to lock the car after getting the chair out I have to sit in the middle of the road to access the passenger door - the central locking has never worked reliably from the boot.
Of course I was doing that and facing the wrong way just as an ambulance with blue lights flashing turned into the street behind me. Cue siren. Cue me nearly levitating.
And then driving home I had to dive out of the way twice for the same police car with lights and sirens inside five minutes, but the first time headed down the road and the second time up it. What even?
