Technically Gorgeous George is correct when he says he's the head of a political party (he got 489 votes at the general election), but the Worker's Party of Britain is basically a vehicle for his stupidity vanity, the third in a succession of parties he's founded, and like the others one that's perfectly willing to court anti-semitism for votes. For someone who claims to represent the common man he's also shown a remarkable preference for the company of dictators.

Oh, and anyone know how to stop DW sticking the big gaps after a quoted tweet? At first I thought it was allowing space for the pics it wasn't showing, but it also does it for tweets without pics.

Galloway doesn't 'court antisemitism for votes', he actively hates Jews and his whole political career has been about directly attacking Jews and the Jewish community. It's certainly not the only thing he cares about but it's a high priority for him not an incidental tool for achieving other aims.

Fair point. I tend to think there's a lot of his public image is a very calculated performance rather than an ideological conviction - cf how he was perfectly happy to threaten legal action asserting he wasn't a Russian media tool, even though his profile still said he was an RT presenter - and I'd just assumed it was part of that performance, but I'm fully willing to accept it's something deeper.
