Now have wheels - Sunrise Medical Uni 8, which I think is even cheaper than the Action 3 everyone was predicting I'd get. Going to take it out for a test-drive in a minute or two.
Yeah, that's getting to be increasingly the plan. FB wheelie friend has already pointed me at the national standards that say 'offer an assessment', not 'fob off with heaviest clunker in creation'. I've got a physio appointment on the 26th re my shoulder, I'm planning on turning up with the chair and asking innocently 'is it just me or is this too heavy+too flexible for me given bendy issues like my shoulder', if I can go at them with medical backing they've done something inappropriate then it should be easier to make the case.
(I actually hadn't thought until just now about just how inappropriate the flexing is for someone with pelvic issues, but that's a point I really need to make to them).
