Keyboard woes

For the past couple of weeks I've been having intermittent keyboard issues, but as of last night my PC has decided to stop recognising all USB keyboards (I've tried 3). Other USB stuff appears to work - I'm typing this with the on-screen keyboard and a USB mouse, but keyboards, no. And mousing isn't really practical for more than a few words. So I guess I'm diving into drivers later to find out what's wrong.
On the positive side of things, after Friday's change of plan by the government - 12 weeks between doses cut to 8 due to the increased transmissability of the Indian variant - my GPs just texted to see when I want my second dose, with first available appt on Friday. (9 weeks today since my first dose, so I wasn't originally due until early next month). Fully vaccinated here I come!

I followed various sets of instructions lat night - check filter keys are off, go into the drivers and delete all keyboard drivers and got it working. For a couple of hours. It just randomly started working again, for ten miutes, and crapped out halfway through this message. Aaargh!!!
