Ah, Spring

It's gorgeously sunny outside, and the overnight forecast is for sleet! 

OTOH I suppose it's traditional for Bank Holiday* weekends. We have a family picture from an Easter Bank Holiday many years ago, where we're making our way back to the car through a snowstorm in less than ideal clothing for snow, having headed up the dale in bright sunshine. Of course the snow (which came in horizontally) waited until we were three miles from the car before descending.

I'd normally be up there for Easter, but Covid, which means we're now into year 2 of missed family gatherings. Technically we could meet, but overnight stays are still out, and seeing as it's a full day journey to get there... Sometime in the summer is my current guess.

I did receive an Easter care package from my mother and sister yesterday, which featured substantially less chocolate than I'd expected (though not zero chocolate). Also substantially more jumpers (ie one) than I'd expected. It's a nice jumper, actually a very nice jumper, but my inner child seems to be stuck on the chocolate thing.

Do you have the abomination that is Peeps, shaped mushrooms in neon colors? Half of YouTube films them exploding in microwaves.

I did manage to introduce the jumper to gravy within a couple of hours of putting it on ;)

Not heard of Peeps, so I suspect they're not a thing here.

I did find the wiki article. They seem to be the cultural equivalent of Cadbury Creme Eggs over here.
