My Headache Sends Fraternal Greetings!

Happy New Year! And lets hope 2021's an improvement on 2020. This is admittedly setting a rather low bar.
I saw in New Year in the traditional way with 'Top 50 hits of the 80s' followed by Jules Holland's Hootenanny. I didn't actually drink much - a can of beer and a glass of wine to go with a pizza and then a G&T to see in the New Year, but I woke up with a headache* at 7:45, and 8:20, and 9:30, and 10:15, and finally managed to keep my eyes open when my kindle alarm went off at 11AM.
It's a good few years since I spent New Year in Chatham, and I was surprised by how much the skies lit up with fireworks when 12:00 rolled around. And as I was turning to follow the flashes I realised there was a great cloud of smoke rising from the middle of the main road. So I tore upstairs to see over the top of the fence, worried someone had crashed. But it turned out to be someone setting off fireworks from the middle of the main road - sensible, that. I then spent the next ten minutes trying to figure out where I'd put down my G&T in the panic....
Once I found it I went back to the Hootenanny, and was in bed five minutes after the credits rolled.
*Well, not so much a headache as a point just between my eyes that I seem to have an intense need to squint around
