Apparently Denmark is facing an incursion of dead mink. Having culled their mink population due to a mutant strain of Covid emerging in them, and Denmark had more mink than it has Danes, they buried them in mass graves on a military range, and now they're, um, bubbling to the surface.

I think there've been one too many comments about the plot of 2020 jumping the shark and this is Covid indulging in a "Hold my beer" moment.

(the cull was badly handled already, I remember reading an article about how the initial order wasn't properly checked for legality(!) and farmers were left in a bit of limbo about whether they should continue or not)
