As someone with a congenital disability, I've never walked without mobility aides (crutches or walkers) in my waking life, so naturally, I've never walked without mobility aides in my dreams -- and even then, it's always a sign that this is an anxiety dream: the space to walk through is too narrow for crutches, or the floor is treacherous, or both. I figure, the brain, being the efficiency freak that it is, only uses a dream metaphor if there's a related issue to be dealt with.
If I'm dreaming of mobility (as opposed to the dream just "Cutting' to a new "Scene"), then that's a signal that I'm stressed about a "new place" in my life -- either needing to get to a new place and being blocked, or being forced to a new place without being in control (the flip side anxiety dream is being strapped into the passenger seat of a car that's driving itself at dangerous speeds, and I can't reach the steering wheel).
