davidgillon | Halloween got the jump scare in early!

Lying in the bath reading this morning when there's a thud on the window - bear in mind my bathroom is upstairs - I nearly levitated.

Looked up and there was a big black and white grasping shape plastered against the glass, took a moment to realise a magpie had tried to land on the top of the window frame, even though it's flush with the wall, found it wasn't big enough, but was somehow hanging on by one leg, with the other leg, it's body and a wing plastered against the window. Which didn't last for long, but I still think this was unreasonably early for Halloween to be trying for jump scares!
