I just had my car MOTd (annual check it's roadworthy), and as it's a glorious day I sat on the grass outside the garage's office to wait.

While I was sitting there a car drove up and even I could diagnose its problem at a glance. It was one of those Peugots with a retracting roof, and it was very clearly stuck halfway through its cycle, with the roof fully retracted, but the boot lid still sticking vertically into the air.

On the bright side for them it isn't raining today, on the negative side they won't want to drive far like that, and the guy who runs the garage took one look at it and noped out of touching it with a bargepole.

My brand model recall has deteriorated since I stopped driving. So your Peugeot brought to mind this gentleman standing up in a Citroen CV deux cheveaux, holding the reins for two horses
