Me: I should definitely hoover

Also me: But the cylinder's full, I should definitely empty it first.

Me: Okay, that's done, but (as usual) I let it fill past the max load line and there's a bunch of gunk on the wrong side of that rubber gasket and wrapped around the filter.

Also me: Hey, I never noticed that you can just twist the top off the cylinder, maybe I can get the filter out, not try and hook gunk out past the gasket

Me: Well the top came off easily, how does the filter come .... *sploosh*

Dust and gunk everywhere, including over me, but fortunately I'd had the sense to step outside first. OTOH even allowing for having to pick the gunk up, it was still so much faster than trying to hook stuff out with a slip of card shoved past the gasket like I've done in the past.
