Thank God That's Over....

...... the Paralympics, that is*. Which isn't to say I haven't thoroughly enjoyed watching and would happily watch more, but the Tokyo-London time-difference has been killing me!

Live coverage has been starting at midnight UK time and running through into the morning. As I'm emphatically not a morning person that means my only chance for watching live was to settle down in front of the TV at midnight and watch through until I couldn't stay awake any longer. I think last night was the longest stint I managed, watching the canoe sprint finals until twenty to six (and wheelchair racing before that), but there's been a few close to it. And not managing to get to sleep at all on Thursday night didn't help.

I suppose I could have recorded it and time-shifted it, but I like watching live and not been spoilered by the media coverage. I've got a bunch recorded - I haven't checked how much, I'm not quite sure how extensive the series link was, and C4 are claiming there's 1000 hours on their website, so I've got more to watch, but I plan on doing that at a more genteel pace!

* Okay, there's the closing ceremony still to come, but I skipped the opening ceremony and I may skip that as well, I'm certainly not watching it live.
