Where do they find these people?
May. 29th, 2020 04:17 pm"Peter Gibson, the Conservative MP for Darlington, said he made a 250-mile journey on a train home while experiencing coronavirus symptoms in March, before the nationwide lockdown. He said he was advised to make the trip home by the MPs’ coronavirus helpline."
*Headdesk*
I actually decided against visiting family by that same train in March because of the risk of spending time close to someone too stupid not to spread coronavirus. I just didn't expect the idiot to be a Tory MP.
(The helpline probably told him to isolate at home, I really doubt it advised him to get there via a 2 hours 40 minute train journey).
In other plague related ephemera, my sister has sent me a mask she sourced from friends. Nicely made, but the elastic's too tight. It pulls on my ears so hard one of them just squishes and lets it pull off. She worked that out in advance because her husband had the same issue, so she's kept a second one to fit larger elastic loops too. In the mean time I've got the one she sent with the elastics forced over a pint glass to try and stretch them. She also says she successfully cut her husband's hair last night and is encouraging me to cut mine. There's a difference between cutting someone's hair and cutting your own with the help of a mirror! (Particularly as dyspraxia and mirrors is a recipe for much hilarity).
And thankfully Durham have decided they're not re-opening the schools before the 15th of June at the earliest, so she's got that off her back for a couple of weeks.
