That Oh Shit Moment...
... when you come half-awake, try to roll over, and feel the laptop start to slide off your chest.....
I'm quite impressed I almost managed to grab it in mid-air, but I didn't quite. Fortunately it landed on its end, had only dropped about a foot and seems to be fine.
But that was not my favourite way to wake up.

I once dropped a Powerbook 1400cs four feet. Not only did it not break, it kept running. If only my Air were as sturdily built!

The single best thing Apple designed is the Magsafe connector. Instead of plugging in, the power cord ends in a male-ish magnet connector, with a female-ish magnetic socket on the machine. A light touch on the cord disconnects the power; it cannot trip you or pull the laptop off the table.
Foolishly, Apple has dropped the MagSafe in its newest models in favor of USB C.

But it won't do much for spilling the entire laptop off your sleeping chest!
