I looked up a youtube video on properly fitting drop leg holsters last night to see if it had anything useful to offer. Nothing much chair-wise, but for wearing them on the side of hip as intended, apparently you want them as high as possible and the thigh strap as tight as possible in order to minimise movement (it explained the dropped position is solely meant to keep the holster or pouch clear of big bullet-proof vests, and if you aren't wearing one...)
