There were two D-Day events, Sunak did the first (British) one, which there was live coverage of, and left David Cameron, former PM, now Foreign Secretary, to do the second (international) one with Biden, Scholz and Macron in the evening - I'm not sure that had live coverage. There won't have been footage of him from the previous one as that was in 2019, when he was a junior minister. It hasn't been out of the news since, BBC included. He was still hiding from the press on Saturday - hence the Walled Garden trip with almost no press in attendance - the local paper got an interview and that was it.

It's essentially destroyed him, even his own party are queuing up to say it was a stupid mistake. He'd already lost the election, he's now pretty much certain to be unseated as leader of the Tories post- election (which admittedly was already likely), and I wouldn't be surprised if he fails to be re-elected at all, there's a lot of military bases around his constituency, which means a lot of suddenly p*ssed-off ex-squaddies.
