The English Countryside
Observed today while out with the family: A mallard in the verge, assorted other ducks, geese, a black swan, sundry ravens, and various sheep, cows, horses and donkeys. Sadly the Raby Castle deer herd wasn't visible when we passed (Oh dear, no deer).
Also three camels, three greater rheas, and an uncertain number of llamas. The Yorkshire dales fauna is clearly more varied than I realised!
The latter were being kept by the high-end farm shop we stopped at for a cream tea, which also featured an utterly gorgeous view out of its windows, at least when Storm Hannah wasn't trying to wash it away.
