The forecast is we'll hit 30c by the weekend, with no mention of the weather breaking. I've just come in from doing the pavement side of the hedge, and have now filled not just my garden wheelie bin, but my neighbour's. This time was much easier. Because I did all the lopping of branches last year, I just had comparatively thin new growth that I could scythe through with the shears while sitting in the chair. And I waited until the front of the house was in shade before I did it.

My neighbour has finished fixing his porch, bar the broken tile I spotted while we were chatting, but he didn't wait for the shade, and his legs are an interesting shade of lobster pink *wince*

And you've just reminded me I need a haircut!
