With those ankle-turning, surface-lying tubers, indeed they are! But not at this time of year.
These have family history behind them, they're my great-uncle's stock, propagated via my parents, and I like them even when they don't flower as the leaves are so architectural. The ones in the front haven't flowered in a couple of years, but there are a few in flower in the back and hopefully more to come. In a good year I've had over 50 blooms at once.
