I think that's a fairly universal experience. Hopefully they're getting better.

None of my PE teachers had a clue what hypermobility syndrome or dyspraxia is (to be fair nor did anyone else in the 70s), but I remember my sister telling me she'd just done a course to teach her to recognise dyspraxia in her kids and that her first thought was "That's David"
