There's not really that much to see as it just consists of walking the two streets of our little estate, so even the houses are repetitive. Gardens in various states of upkeep or not, mostly settling into their autumnal colours, lots of cats, the occasional squirrel.
There is some nice green space not too far away, Fort Pitt is about half a mile away, if I walk down to there then I'm on a grassed hill with an old Victorian bandstand overlooking a big loop of the Medway, looking across to the Great Lines (another grassed area) and Fort Amherst (restored semi-underground fortress/museum) in Gillingham, and the waterfront from the Royal Dockyard (now a museum) to Chatham town centre, and across to Rochester, with the Castle and Cathedral (both Norman). It really is a gorgeous view. Unfortunately that's all down a very steep hill from where I live, and if I could manage the walk down, the walk back is a bit too extreme to contemplate.
